Brian and Laura Weiss were living in their modestly-sized townhouse when they decided that, with their second child on the way, it was time to find a home that would meet the long-term needs of their growing family—needs that included plenty of living space, as well as a yard in which their children could play. Their search led them to a property in a great location, but with a house that just wouldn’t do. That’s where JDL Construction came in. After meeting with Brian and Laura, it became clear that they had very specific ideas in regard to the home they wanted to create. Since Laura is an interior designer, she had very distinct ideas for each room, so our goal as her builder was to work hand-in-hand in order to make her dreams a reality. The end result is their beautiful, eclectic, California cottage, complete with a unique covered breezeway leading to the main entry.
We hired JDL Construction to build our house from the ground up. After interviewing a good dozen contractors, we decided on JDL. James Lepak was incredibly proactive from the onset and gave us a good sense of confidence as we entrusted him with what was, for us, a huge undertaking. James managed us through the entire process; we did not need to manage him as often happens with other contractors. Our house went up within six months, and James did a great job of guiding us through what turned out to be a relatively painless process. We love our new home and cannot say enough good things about James and his JDL team. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to build or remodel.
