At the end of each stage of construction, our owner or foreman will walk with you through your home to make sure it is progressing to your expectations, and we are readily available to address your every need or concern from the moment your project is begun until it is completed to your satisfaction.

A genuine, lifelong passion for building

JDL Construction is more than a general construction company—it is the fulfillment of owner James Lepak's childhood dream. James' passion for construction began with tree houses, backyard forts and home improvement projects, and that same unbridled enthusiasm and love of building infuses each and every one of his custom homes, additions and remodels.

"I have wanted to be a contractor for as long as I can remember," James says. "Construction is the only thing I have ever known. I feel very fortunate to make a living doing what I love, and when you do what you love, it's not like work at all. After each project, the client’s ecstatic expression and subsequent referrals say more to me than a thousand words. This is the greatest compliment I could receive.”

James' story is one of overcoming adversity through dedication, hard work and a belief in his ability to fulfill his dreams. James founded JDL Construction at the age of 19, only five years after losing both of his parents. Since that time, he has utilized that same spirit of commitment and positivity to bring the dreams of Coastal Orange County homeowners to life.
